Oh man. Where do I start with Downton Abbey?

I cannot remember my life before this show, quite frankly. Pathetic? Maybe. But...

This show. I don't even know where to start. On the outside, it looks like your any normal 1 000 000 pounds per episode period piece. The pretty men and the pretty women and the emphasis on 'propriety', 'prospects' and 'proper'.

But. There's Maggie Smith as the matriarch.

And there's the ridiculously handsome Dan Stevens with his blue eyes that deserve their own credit at the opening sequence. And he's an English lit graduate which adds more to his appeal because quite frankly, Mr Stevens is a really witty writer.

And there's the goddess that is Michelle Dockery. Her fine English rose features coupled with her bad ass HBIC attitude masked in hand-beaded gowns and complex hair styles makes you love her and be scared of her all at the same time. And if there's a way for me to clone and do voice surgery (if there is one), it would be to have Michelle Dockery's voice. I love it when she talks. LOVE.

And the fact that these two pull off the will they/won't they storyline better than most actors. AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE MATTHEW STOP BEING AN IDIOT AND JUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT MARY.

BECAUSE THERE'S JUST SOMETHING ABOUT MARY. HAVEN'T WE LEARNED ANYTHING FROM THE MOVIE YET?

Oh. And the show is filmed on location at an actual castle.
